Danny and Amanda's Sunday Dessert
We were treated to yummy trifle, rich brownies and fresh cantalope
...in their beautiful yard!
Then on to the BEEs in Syd's backyard, just a few blocks away, a joint operation.
The bees kept busy in spite of all the attention.
Hello and Goodbye!
Dave, Danielle and Luke came for a couple of weddings and stayed 10 days, and were put to work before the family farewell party, helping Jordan and Camilla carry all their belongings into the garage, ready for their surprise move to Iowa, for MBA school.
It was a good idea to have everything moved into the garage because three days later it made for a much easier move into the truck.
Note: Special consideration was given to the big screen TV.
Thanks for all the help.
And thanks to the Snows again for hosting another family swim party. Can't seem to get Ryan in a picture. He's busy taking care of everything.
Off to Hershey, PA
& Iowa City, IA
The Move...
Jordan had to be at Orientation on the 16th, a Monday, with the assignment to find a place to live that would be available by Friday. Camilla flew out on Wednesday to help, and Jackson drove down from Ann Arbor. We loaded up the truck, just the two of us, Tuesday afternoon, got the trailer and car hooked on and it was ready to go for the next morning.
We drove 10 1/2 hours each day, with an overnight stop in Ogallala, Nebraska. The second day we discovered this park, Mormon Island park, Nebraska.
Jordan and Camilla's new home, in Coralville, Iowa, a suburb of Iowa City, and a short bus ride to the business school.
Jackson was dripping with the humidity.
But with his help, everything was unloaded in a couple of hours, and the rest of the afternoon, evening and beyond, was unpacking and setting up for Jor and Camilla.
Master bedroom, and Walker's room.
Great home! Camilla's peering out of the kitchen, on the main level. Two bedrooms and a bath are behind Jackson and Jordan.
The next day we had a tour of downtown/center of campus and business buildings. Jor and Camilla are standing by the Pappajohn School of Business.
There was a sand sculpture event downtown and in front of the University Administration building.
We loved Iowa City. It's a beautiful college town. And we enjoyed our drive together, it was a fun adventure. But we are going to miss our Walker.....

Great post! Unfortunately, that picture of me sweating was just the beginning. By the end, my shirt was completely drenched.
Yes, great post. Thanks to everyone that helped, we couldn't have done it without you!
